Happy Birthday to the greatest man I know!

Andy and I few weeks ago - picture taken by my cute friend Toni.

Happy Birthday to you, happy birthday to you!

36 years old today!

We are having a fantastic day with Dad! He started the day with a nice hot breakfast - eggs, hash browns, toast, bacon, and O.J. (which gave him heartburn so he switched to a diet coke!)

Hayden had early release so we picked him up and headed to the theater to see Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs! We all loved it, even Zac sat through the whole thing and hardly made a peep! (Of course I was handing treats, popcorn, lemonade, etc. to him the whole time and he was strapped in his carseat! That helps!)

We are heading to dinner at B.J.'s (free Pizookie of course) and then to Krispy Kreme for his free dozen donuts. (Luckily they are conveniently located next door to eachother!) Presents will be opened when we get home. And since Andy probably won't read this before it happens, the kids got him the Blu Ray of
Bedtime Stories and I got him some new yummy cologne!

Best Husband Ever!

I know you all might be jealous but I had to give a shout out to Andy today.
Andy gets up EVERY Sunday between 5 and 5:30 for meetings. Last week he had 8 1/2 hours straight of church meetings, meanwhile I get to sleep in until 8am every Sunday. Lucky for me I have an awesome husband who really surprised me this morning. Having still not passed his stinkin kidney stones since his surgery on Monday, it wouldn't have surprised me if he decided he couldn't make it to his meetings, but nope, he was out the door by 6am. Then, to my surprise, he was able to come home at 8:45 for a few hours before going back. I was still in bed when I heard Andy come in our room and use the restroom, he could have given me a hard time for still sleeping but he didn't. In fact, I stayed in bed until after 9am and when I went downstairs Andy had the kids and was making waffles, from scratch! What??? He even had to separate eggs - something I didn't know he could do! They were so good, probably the best waffles I've ever had. What a treat, totally unexpected and a great start to an awesome Sunday. Thanks Honey!
I'm done with the mushiness!

Finally a "real" haircut

My cute friend/hairdresser offered to cut Zac's hair for me because he has been suffering from the "dumb and dumber" bangs since I gave him his haircut.
Before the haircut (if you look closely you can still see the scars from his recent mouth sores)

During the haircut - sitting very patiently

The patience ended - out came the sucker!

After the haircut (he started crying because I didn't give him his bottle fast enough!)
He looks so grown-up now, my baby isn't a baby anymore!

The girl's got some odd sleeping habits...

Brynley is seriously so weird. At least a few times a week, this is what Andy and I find as we are headed up the stairs to bed. I can't imagine how comfortable it must be but there have a been a few times that we will notice her and then leave her until we actually go up to bed - sometimes 2-3 hours!
This is also a very common occurrence. The funny thing is that she doesn't get a good kids book, it's a mommy book about kid birthday parties. There are literally 5 pictures in the entire book! Funny girl!

Brynley Started Preschool

Brynley finally started Preschool, she has been waiting for this day for a very long time...
Her breakfast of choice for the first day was an egg, over easy on toast. One of my favorites as well so I was happy to oblige!

Posing by the door for her first day of school photos. She is going to a 3-year old preschool at Miss Dawn's house and she loves it so far!

She goes to school at 9:30 so no one was there to take a picture of the two of us together. So, here is our best attempt! Excuse my mass of freckles, obviously I had no makeup on! But look closely and you can see Bryn's cute freckles on her nose!

Zac eating a burger at Brynley's beginning of school special dinner!

Hayden made the "Good Lukc" sign for Brynley, complete with the cute flower he drew!

And here is where I admit to being the worst mother in the world. When we had Hayden's celebration dinner (the night BEFORE) school started for him, we asked Bryn what she would like for her dinner the night before she starts school. She asked for Cheese burgers. I can do that, make my potato salad and beans, etc... Now notice Bryn is in the dress she wore to school and the only side dishes included chips and grapes. I forgot about her special dinner the night before school starts!!! Hayden reminded me when he got home from school that we had forgotten to have burgers the night before. CRAP! Luckily, I had ground beef in the freezer as well as buns (they were a little freezer burned but who cares???) And the only two sides she really ever eats are the chips and fruit, check! Hmm, there's no plate for Andy, maybe he had a meeting, I can't remember. And from now on, we do a combined celebration dinner the night before the first kid starts school!
Brynley - If you are reading this (obviously you will be a few years older looking back) I'm so sorry, don't hold it against me! I love you!

Second day of school
