Walking Video!

A Little Video for anyone interested!

I'm a little amazed that he was hardly phased by Hayden running back and forth infront of him!

Our trip to... Peoria!

We decided to take a week and head up to Peoria (it's only an hour away but who cares right?). It was close enough that Andy and I could go up and spend two nights alone (thanks a ton Meredith) then we could go get the kids and bring them back up with us. We stayed in a great resort called Cibola Vista. There was plenty of room for all of us to stay comfortably and there was a kitchen which is always nice with the whole family. Our room was right by the pool entrance so one of us could take the kids swimming while the other stayed in while Zac napped.
The first night with the kids we took them to Rubio's. It was Taco Tuesday after all, which meant the fish tacos were super cheap. I was amazed at how well they ate them. Hayden ate two tacos on his own while Zac even ate all of the fish out of one taco. They have been asking to go back ever since, I think we can accommodate that request! We fed the whole family for 12 dollars and that included a huge pile of Guac and chips! Not to mention 3 free churros, yum!

After Rubio's we headed to Color Me Mine for some pottery painting. Brynley painted a cute fat dog while Hayden painted a surf board to match his room. The kids had a lot of fun and loved picking up their creations when they were done.
More on the trip to follow...

15 Months - And finally walking!

Our little Zachar Man had his 15 month appointment yesterday. Here are his stats:
22 lbs. Even - 13th percentile
31 inches long - 60th percentile

This means Zac has gained 3 pounds since surgery, 5 weeks ago. This is amazing for him and I am so happy and proud of my little boy! He has gone from the 3rd percentile in Weight and the 20th percentile for height to the current stats above. He is also walking... He has been taking steps between Andy and I for about the last week but now he will venture off on his own. It is so stinkin cute, he leads with his right foot so he walks very crooked and sometimes in a full circle. He has got a great appetite and will eat anything now - well still not many fruits and veggies but he's getting better. For so long he has hated eating and now he loves it! He has not vomited even once since surgery and he has had no constipation, we haven't had to give him his constipation meds at all!
Zac also got his first haircut - long story short I was going to use the clippers with a super long attachment to still keep some length but the clippers died so I had to use scissors and let's just say the bangs are a huge embarrassment. Andy said he looks like Jim Carey in Dumb and Dumber. It's really sad but his hair was getting so long I couldn't do a mohawk anymore and it looked lame to slick it to the side. So now I don't know what to do. I think if I just do a mohawk everyday for awhile the hair will grow out a bit. The back of his hair looks great however!

He dug the sucker for sure!

This is Zac every time he wants me or something from me. I post this to give you all a good look at the terrible bangs.

Walking down the hall

Walking in the family room. He pretty much fell every time he noticed the camera so this is the best I could get.

Seriously Behind...

Andy let me know last night how behind I am with my blogging. It makes me sad... I have been gone for almost 3 solid weeks so I will give myself a little break. However that doesn't help the fact that I still haven't blogged about My B-day or Bryn's B-day (From February) or Hayden's end of the year program and T-ball (From May) or 4th of July and the rest of the month of July... I have a long list of blog topics filling my memo board, maybe I'll get some of them done soon... hopefully.

Belated Father's Day

Father's Day was a kind of a drag this year... The week before I spent helping to watch my sister's kids while she was out of town and the rest of the week in the hospital with Zac. So, I got nothing done ahead of time for Andy and I told him we would celebrate the following week. He was cool with that!

The dinner menu consisted of Grilled Ribeyes, Tiger Pawns, loaded baked potatoes, corn, rolls, and salad. It was so good. I found the best recipe for grilling the prawns. It was 2 Tbl. Soy sauce, 1 Tbl. oil, and 3-4 cloves minced garlic. Put the prawns in a Ziploc with the marinade and let sit for 20 minutes at room temp. Throw em on a skewer and grill. To die for!!

Wendy - this picture is for you!

We got Andy a few new shirts for Father's Day, this is one of them. I have convinced him that he needs to dress a little bit more "hip". When you wear a size 3-4 XL, you kind of take what you can get but now that he's in a 2 XL, the choices are endless! this is one of my favorite shirts we got him!

Andy spent the afternoon in a secret clubhouse with the kids! Zac had fun in it too!

Are they excited to bring Andy his gift or what???

Andy's favorite - Henry Weinhard's Root beer, yum!

Brynley getting a look at Andy's favorite gift!

A close up of the Daddy picture.

I have done this for Andy every year beginning when Hayden was a year old. It has been a lot of fun and is something Andy looks forward to getting for his office. The more kids we add, the trickier the photoshoot becomes but it all works out! Hayden was my best model this year which is not like him at all so that was kind of fun.

We love you Andy, thanks for being a great Dad!
